About the Organization
Involve is an organization that strives to reimagine education through enabling increased participation of children in the decisions around learning. Through this it seeks to unlock the agency of children to enable them to lead thriving lives of their choice. Involve was founded by IIT Madras Graduates, Divanshu & Samyak, who left their placements to build their dream. Today we are a stellar team of >65 members from diverse backgrounds (TFI, Gandhi Fellowship, APU) and skills, supported by experienced advisors, to provide choice, ownership and skills to our students.
Today Involves work reaches half-a-million children across 6 states both directly and through partnerships with governments and organizations. We currently have direct programs in Karnataka (Bengaluru, Chikballapur, Koppal), Uttar Pradesh (Sambhal, Varanasi), Bihar (Bhagalpur, Banka) and programs with our partners in Punjab, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
Job Description/Responsibilities
You will manage end-to-end implementation of our Program towards Student Agency in the district, starting with implementing the Peer based program in a district through working with DIET, BEOs, BRPs, BRCs and CRPS to ensure successful program implementation in all schools by the teachers and outcomes for all the students. You will be a part of the team which lays the foundation for the scale of Involve. This will include the following:
Implementation
- Creating an action plan to implement out Peer-based program via DIET and Block -level stakeholders
- Training & coordinating with DIET, BEOs, BRPs, BRCs and CRPS for respective schools to ensure successful implementation by teachers
- Setting up robust processes that enable smooth onboarding districts and blocks
- Understanding existing structures for different aspects of the program for ease of implementation
- Regular interaction with all the stakeholders, visiting schools with stakeholders to ensure the quality of the program on the ground and understanding the implementation gaps
- Identifying the needs on the ground and designing/creating programs aligning to Involve’s vision with the support of Program Design team
Manage relationships:
- Fostering positive relationships with State officials, district officials, other stakeholders to get buy-in on the vision to build a strong idea of Student Leadership and agency in them for sustainable effort
- Engaging DIET, DDPI and other govt. Officials by regularly reporting, initiating formal/informal conversations and co-creating action plans with them.
- Identifying and forging partnerships with other CSOs aimed at addressing pressing needs at the school site
- Manage a team of 4-5 to run the district program in 2 district
- Define KRA/KPI for individual team members and lead them to success in performance
- Aligning to the values of involve, creating a fantastic culture for the team
Documenting and reporting
- Leading efforts to document and report progress & program gaps/challenges every month
- Adapting tools or surveys to evaluate, collect data and document stakeholder (DIET, DDPI, BEO, BRP, CRPs, teachers, students) response to intervention
- Analysing feedback from BRPs, CRPs, and Teachers to improve the effectiveness of program and implementation continually
- Creating monthly report for funders (some part of the report) and govt stakeholders
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

You should have the following:
- Experience: 4-6 years of experience in the education sector & managing a team
- Education: An undergraduate degree in any stream is a must; a master’s degree is a plus
- Skills: Should be a good planner and a go-getter; Should be good with on-ground work; okay to commute long distances on certain days; be patient with the outcomes; getting things done by leveraging relationships; Clear understanding of thoughts while making any decision and excellent communication skills; Ability to manage and inspire people
- Should have a strong sense of data collection, data analysis, knowledge of statistics and be able to set structures for operational data
- Strong work Ethics: Punctuality, Sense of environment, self-driven;
- Interests: Passionate about education; enjoys mentoring and working with school kids.
