About EAII
EAII Advisors, Evidence Action’s technical partner in India, supports state governments in delivering evidence-based public health programs, including safe drinking water initiatives and school and Anganwadi-based National Deworming Day and iron and folic acid supplementation. Operating across 10 states, EAII Advisors provides technical assistance to ministries of health, education, water, and women and child development, reducing health burdens in underserved communities and improving the long-term wellbeing of children and families.
Evidence Action delivers data-driven public health interventions at scale across 11 countries, working closely with governments to implement evidence-backed solutions. Its flagship initiatives include Deworm the World, Safe Water Now, and the Accelerator program, which focuses on identifying and testing cost-effective global health interventions.
About the Role
The Program Officer will manage assigned workstreams from planning through execution, coordinating across national and state teams to ensure timely delivery of project objectives. Reporting to the Principal Manager, the role requires strong ownership, independent decision-making, stakeholder management, and program coordination.
The position involves working closely with state teams, government stakeholders, and external partners while supporting Iron and Folic Acid (IFA) supplementation and supply chain strengthening initiatives. Approximately 20% travel to program states is expected.
Key Responsibilities
Program Ownership & Coordination
- Lead planning and implementation of assigned IFA supplementation workstreams at national and state levels.
- Track milestones and prepare strategic reports and presentations for national and state-level meetings.
- Coordinate with New Delhi office and state teams to ensure seamless program implementation.
- Support planning, integration, and implementation of IFA supply chain strengthening activities across program states.
- Develop state-specific work plans, timelines, and progress reports.
- Monitor program activities, expenditures, and implementation against approved work plans.
- Identify implementation risks, recommend corrective actions, and support state teams in integrating IFA supplementation activities into Annual Work Plans and Program Implementation Plans (PIPs).
- Contribute recommendations for quarterly and annual operational planning.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Represent assigned IFA workstreams with state teams, implementing partners, and external stakeholders.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with government and partner organizations.
- Support advocacy initiatives at national and state levels through analysis and communication.
- Consolidate recommendations for IFA budget advocacy and state government work plans.
Reporting, Documentation & Analysis
- Prepare quarterly and annual donor reports and program documentation.
- Develop reports, policy briefs, presentations, and communication materials for internal and external audiences.
- Analyse program data and develop evidence-based recommendations.
- Capture and analyse state-level data on IFA supply chain performance, including forecasting, procurement, stock availability, distribution, and last-mile delivery.
- Identify stock-out risks and support corrective planning.
- Support implementation of AI-enabled approaches to strengthen supply chain reporting and improve dashboards, reporting systems, and data workflows.
- Maintain comprehensive records of program activities, progress, expenditures, and knowledge products.
Technical Contribution
- Review program tools, guidelines, and technical materials to ensure alignment with evidence and organizational standards.
- Support delivery of high-quality technical assistance to national and state governments.
- Develop technical resources, supply chain guidance documents, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and job aids tailored to state-specific needs.
- Perform additional responsibilities assigned by the Principal Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
- Postgraduate degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Health Management, or a related discipline.
- 5–6 years of experience in public health or international development with demonstrated ownership of program workstreams.
- Experience in public health supply chains and school- or Anganwadi-based health programs (such as maternal and child health or nutrition) is strongly preferred.
- Proven experience coordinating national and state teams and managing multiple deliverables independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Experience engaging with government officials, implementing partners, and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), documentation, data management, and AI tools.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to solve problems independently.
- Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time.
- Strong commitment to Evidence Action's mission and social impact.

Competitive and commensurate with the candidate's qualifications, experience, and previous compensation.
