Job Responsibilities

• Building and managing a portfolio of civil society partners working in community health with focus on comprehensive primary care.
• Conceptualizing and running “call for community health programme grant requests” from identified geographies annually.
• Developing grant proposals for multiyear grants, conducting thorough due diligences, and ensuring timely disbursals.
• Sharing partner learnings and experiences from the ground with the broader team. Capturing insights and lessons learnt regularly in easy to disseminate forms.
• Helping partners to track and capture effects of their work in alignment with the overall framework in Azim Premji Foundation – Health unit.
• Facilitating and managing a forum/network for partners working in community health and engaging with the public health system.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
• At least 8 + years of work experience in public health and/or community health
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including NGOs, donors and subject matter experts.
• Experience in public systems (Health) engagement, prior experience in grant-making will be an added advantage
• Must be willing to travel 40 – 50% of the time.
• Good written and oral communication skills
• High level of self-motivation, initiative and creativity
• The ability to work with minimal supervision and solve problems independently or collaboratively as needed
