About EAII
EAII Advisors, Evidence Action's technical partner in India, supports state governments in delivering evidence-based public health programs, including safe drinking water initiatives and school and Anganwadi-based National Deworming Day and iron and folic acid supplementation. Operating across 10 states, EAII Advisors provides technical assistance to ministries of health, education, water, and women and child development, reducing health burdens in underserved communities and improving the long-term wellbeing of children and families.
Evidence Action delivers data-driven public health interventions at scale across 11 countries, working closely with governments to implement evidence-backed solutions that improve health outcomes for millions.
About the Role
The Regional Coordinator will support the implementation of Evidence Action's health and nutrition programmes across assigned districts in Bihar. The role is responsible for coordinating with district administration and government stakeholders, monitoring programme implementation, strengthening field execution, providing technical support, and ensuring timely reporting and documentation.
The position requires frequent field travel and close collaboration with district officials, frontline workers, and internal programme teams to achieve programme objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Implementation
- Coordinate implementation of programme activities across assigned districts.
- Support district-level planning, execution, and monitoring of programme interventions.
- Ensure programme activities are implemented according to approved work plans and timelines.
- Monitor field implementation and recommend corrective actions where required.
- Support achievement of programme targets through regular follow-up with district teams.
Government & Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with district government officials and other key stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with health, education, and women & child development departments.
- Participate in district-level meetings and provide technical support to government counterparts.
- Facilitate coordination between state and district stakeholders for smooth programme implementation.
Monitoring, Reporting & Documentation
- Collect, review, and analyse programme data from districts.
- Prepare regular progress reports, presentations, and documentation.
- Monitor programme indicators and highlight implementation gaps.
- Maintain accurate programme records and support knowledge management.
Capacity Building
- Support training programmes and capacity-building initiatives for government officials and frontline workers.
- Provide technical guidance to district teams during programme implementation.
- Assist in developing implementation plans and operational strategies.
Other Responsibilities
- Undertake regular field visits across assigned districts.
- Support additional programme activities as assigned by the reporting manager.
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies and programme quality standards.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Postgraduate degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Health Management, Development Studies, or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in public health, nutrition, or development programmes.
- Experience working with government systems and district administration is preferred.
- Strong coordination, stakeholder management, and programme implementation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
