About the Organization

Established in 2007, the National Health Systems Resource Centre, a premier Think Tank for MoHFW, is mandated to assist in policy and strategy development in the provision and mobilization of technical assistance to the states and in capacity building for the Ministry of Health.

Job Responsibilities

• Implement Standard Operating procedures, Bio-Waste Management and biosafety guidelines
• Implement and document internal quality controls
• Conduct EQAS testing for network sites/state network labs
• Conduct AMR alerts confirmations including genotypic characterisation
• Conduct Genomic surveillance of AMR
• Participate in lab trainings at NCDC and onsite when required
• Assist laboratory trainings and other technical trainings supplies to the laboratory through lab in charge and ensure sufficient
• Stock of Lab consumables is available
• Any other work/activity assigned from time to time

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Master of Science (MSc) in Medical Microbiology/Microbiology/Biotechnology/ Biomedical Sciences;

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in clinical work in bacteriology laboratory/ conducting molecular research in bacteriology after acquiring Masters
• Must be Proficient in computer applications (MS-Word, Excel and Power Point).

Desirable:

• Experience of working in surveillance of AMR/molecular characterization of Antimicrobial resistance/ bacteriology laboratory

Salary

Rs 40,000/month consolidated. No other allowances are permissible
