Senior Program Manager

Role: Senior Program Manager
Location: J&K
Role Purpose
Lead large-scale public system transformation initiatives by designing strategy, managing implementation, engaging government stakeholders, leading teams, and ensuring measurable impact. A resident of Jammu Division – preferred.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Program Leadership
- Translate organizational strategy into implementation plans.
- Design and manage multi-year, multi-state programs.
- Develop operational roadmaps, milestones, and success metrics.
- Solve complex implementation challenges.
2. Government Engagement
- Build relationships with senior state and central government officials.
- Facilitate policy discussions.
- Influence institutional reforms.
- Represent Piramal School of Leadership in high-level meetings.
3. Program Management
- Drive end-to-end execution.
- Monitor budgets, timelines, risks and deliverables.
- Conduct regular program reviews.
- Ensure quality implementation across districts/states.
4. Team Leadership
- Lead multidisciplinary teams.
- Coach Program Leaders and field teams.
- Build leadership capability.
- Drive performance management.
5. Data & Evidence
- Analyze implementation data.
- Develop dashboards and reports.
- Use evidence for decision-making.
- Produce donor- and board-ready communication.
6. Partnerships
- Work with NGOs, consultants, academic institutions and government departments.
- Coordinate across internal verticals.
7. Documentation & Communication
- Prepare concept notes.
- Write strategic papers.
- Develop presentations for leadership.
- Create reports for donors and government.
Typical Qualification
- Master's degree (MBA, Public Policy, Rural Management, Education, Development Studies or related field)
- 8–12 years of relevant experience.
- Experience working with government systems.
- Strong program management experience.
- Consulting experience is preferred
