We are seeking a dynamic Project Coordinator – Monitoring to lead monitoring and evaluation efforts for our agricultural and rural development initiatives. The role involves designing and implementing monitoring frameworks, analyzing project data, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with donor guidelines. The ideal candidate is passionate about agriculture & rural development, possesses strong analytical skills, and is adept at leading teams in a non-profit environment.
Key Attribution Points
- Monitoring & Evaluation: Develop and implement project monitoring frameworks and tools, track progress, and ensure quality assurance through field visits.
- Data Collection & Analysis: Design surveys, analyze data, and prepare impact reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with field teams, donors, and regulatory bodies to ensure effective project execution and reporting.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure adherence to donor guidelines, maintain documentation, and support audits and evaluations.
- Capacity Building: Train field teams in data collection methodologies, reporting techniques, and best practices for monitoring and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities
Monitoring & Evaluation:
- Develop and implement robust project monitoring frameworks and tools.
- Track key performance indicators and project milestones.
- Conduct field visits for data verification, quality assurance, and progress assessment.
- Maintain comprehensive project records and prepare timely reports.
Data Collection & Analysis:
- Design and oversee survey methodologies and data collection processes.
- Analyse quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate project impact.
- Develop dashboards and impact reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement & Team Leadership:
- Coordinate with field teams, donors, government agencies, NGOs, and farmers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Lead and train a diverse team of CRAs, field workers, and staff, fostering collaboration and productivity.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions on data collection methodologies and reporting techniques.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure adherence to donor guidelines, organizational policies, and reporting standards.
- Maintain updated project documentation for audits and evaluations.
- Identify process gaps and suggest improvements for enhanced project efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills
Educational Background:
- B.Sc. in Agriculture, Social Work, Rural Development, or a related field.
- Postgraduate degree preferred.
Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of sustainable agriculture, cropping cycles, and agricultural practices.
- Proficiency in data collection tools & software (Excel, SPSS, Power BI, or similar).
- Experience in project impact assessment and reporting.
Professional & Personal Attributes:
- Passion for agriculture & rural development with an analytical & problem-solving mindset.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in diverse cultural settings with cultural sensitivity and awareness.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Adaptability to NGO work culture and a deep understanding of field realities.
Additional Information
Travel: Willingness to travel as required to various project sites.
Compensation: Up to 3 Lacs per annum + Annual Variable Pay + Commitment Bonus (Compensation package will be in line with qualification, experience, and last salary drawn).
