About the Organization

Established in 2007, the National Health Systems Resource Centre, a premier Think Tank for MoHFW, is mandated to assist in policy and strategy development in the provision and mobilization of technical assistance to the states and in capacity building for the Ministry of Health.

Job Responsibilities

  • Draft implementation guide for patient safety in primary and secondary care institutions.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of current patient safety practices and protocols.
  • Documentation of all patient safety activities, best practices & case studies implementation in State/Regions/District/Facility level.
  • Analyze patient safety data using SaQushal tool to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop plans and implement patient safety programs, events and workshops based on best practices and evidence-based guidelines.
  • Development and printing of Training materials and resources for stakeholders
  • Assist to monitor progress reports and a final evaluation report on patient safety initiatives.
  • Support implementation of NQAS, Kayakalp, LaQshya & other initiatives.
  • Any other task assigned by the Advisor and Lead Consultant Quality and Patient Safety Division.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Possess a recognized Medical/Dental/ BAMS/BHMS degree from a recognized University.
  • Two years full-time Masters’ Degree (or Equivalent) in Hospital/Health Management/ Public Health/ Post Graduate Diploma in Hospital and Health Management from a reputed institute.
  • 1 Years of post-qualification experience for implementation of patient safety initiatives, such as SaQushal at Facility/State/National level.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and use of patient safety software/tools.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and best practices in patient safety
