Job Responsibilities

  • Program Support: Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of disaster response programs. Collaborate with team members to create and update program materials, guidelines, and standard operating procedures. Provide support in coordinating and executing disaster response activities.
  • Logistical Coordination: Coordinate logistics for disaster response efforts, including procurement of supplies, equipment, and resources. Work closely with vendors and partners to ensure timely delivery of materials needed for disaster response operations. Maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment, tracking usage and replenishment needs.
  • Administrative Duties: Support the Disaster Response Team in administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking meeting minutes. Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and documentation related to disaster response activities. Manage and maintain organized files and databases related to program activities.
  • Communication and Outreach: Facilitate communication within the Disaster Response Team and with external stakeholders. Assist in drafting communications, press releases, and updates for internal and external distribution. Support outreach efforts to raise awareness of disaster response programs and initiatives..
  • Training and Capacity Building: Support the development and delivery of training programs for team members and volunteers. Assist in organizing workshops and drills to enhance the team's preparedness and response capabilities.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

  • Graduate with 5+ years’ experience, self-driven, pro-active and passionate to work for social cause.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Quick learner, and able to work with minimum supervision
  • Experience in creating socially impactful digital presentation. Proficient with Microsoft office tools.
  • Flexible to work during all US time zones.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to disaster-affected areas to coordinate and collaborate with local response teams. This may involve staying in the field for extended periods during active disaster response operations.
  • Exposure to US work culture and experience in working with Non-Profit organization.
