Position- Technical Lead- Agriculture/ Horticulture

 

Location: Alwar, Rajasthan

 

Qualification & Experience: Graduate/ Postgraduate in Agriculture/ Horticulture / Agri Extension or related field with experience in Horticulture. 

6-7 Years of experience out of which at least 3-4 years in Social development Sector/NGO in watershed management/ Sustainable Agriculture, Farmer Mobilisation, Training & Capacity Building, Crop demonstration, Drip Irrigation, livelihood Fruit Plantation. 

 

Role & Responsibilities:

• Lead the field team of Horticulturist/ Agriculturist and community mobilisers and able to guide and supervise team in the field       
• Cordinate and execute the project as per approved milestone and activities. Detailed program planning according to the budget and review from time to time.
• Complete management of field activities in consultation with program manage

• Prepare project documents including monthly project reports/ activity plan.
• Coordinate and manage project as per the project timeline and schedule
• Liason and coordinate with State Government Authorities for Govt Subsidy, schemes, training programs etc
• Maintain liasion with Field office and Head office Good communications skills in English, Hindi and ability to understand Rajasthan regional languages  

• Represent the organization effectively in various forums – meetings with stakeholders, and government functionaries.
• Organizing Workshop for capacity enhancement of staff and beneficiaries.
  Manage and support team members to work according to the project requirements.
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
• Travel to remote field locations/villages

 

Desirable/ Preferred:

 

• Demonstrated ability to take and lead initiatives.
• Knowledge of implementing projects on Sustainable Agriculture and aligned activities, with a special focus on women farmers.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English, Hindi and ability to converse/ understand regional Rajasthan Language
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Must have two wheeler
