Role Purpose: 

To Identify & implement economic development opportunities for particularly vulnerable communities in two blocks of Jharkhand to improve livelihood and wellbeing. The project is being supported by OAK foundation and implemented by Transform Trade in India & co implemented by Badlao Foundation.

Role Aims:

• To work with about 3500 particularly vulnerable pahariya households particularly women in two blocks of Jharkhand Sundarpahari & Littipara with a view to economically impact their livelihoods 
• Coordinate & engage with a network of different agencies & leverage their strengths for convergence, technical training & capacity building of project participants.
• To provide leadership in adopting appropriate agricultural technologies, new crops, rolling out of best practices, and alternative trading models.
• To support the creation of community collectives , procurement centres & viable business plans & implement as per plan
• To work in close coordination with community mobilizers of the local partner organizations to implement the monthly & annual plans.
• To develop IEC materials for the project beneficiaries, as well as extension staff.
• To develop & monitor tracking tools for different project activities related to agriculture & farmer-producer organizations/cluster-level bodies
• To carry out other duties, which may or may not be related to the job, as reasonably requested by management.

Person Specification:

You will be:

A professional having demonstrated ability in offering technical support on agriculture development, value chain interventions, managing community collectives & engagement with different academic and training service providers. He/she should possess skills and have relevant experience in undertaking effective agri-supply chain management/livelihood programs, especially with rural vulnerable communities.

You will have:

• Strong technical & entrepreneurial skills in developing Agri supply chains, Farmer agronomic and post-harvest management of agricultural crops, setting up and managing community led procurement centre’s and related areas
• Minimum of 5-6 years of professional experience in a similar role
• Experience working with CSOs, private sector partnerships, and a range of stakeholders
• Strong interpersonal skills & ability to work & coordinate with different stakeholders & market actors
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with excellent analytical and numeracy skills
• Willingness to travel extensively.

You may have:

• A graduate (or recognized equivalent) qualification in Agriculture & allied streams, Agriculture/Agri-business management, or similar relevant discipline
• Experience in working with large national/international NGOs, private limited companies or technical bodies

Responsibility for day to day management and oversight of all aspects of Traidcraft Services India Private Limited.
