Job Overview
The Trainer - Communication, Soft Skills, Aptitude & Reasoning will design and deliver engaging training sessions to enhance the overall employability of beneficiaries, focusing on communication skills, soft skills, aptitude, and reasoning. The role involves equipping learners with the necessary tools to succeed in job interviews, competitive exams, and professional environments. The trainer will also mentor participants, assess their progress, and ensure they develop confidence, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills essential for personal and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Training Delivery:
- Deliver interactive training sessions on Communication Skills (Verbal & Written), Soft Skills (Leadership, Teamwork, Conflict Resolution, Emotional Intelligence), and Aptitude & Reasoning (Numerical Ability, Logical Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning).
- Develop training plans tailored to various learning levels, ensuring that participants can understand and apply concepts effectively.
- Conduct classroom and virtual training sessions, using diverse teaching methods like role-plays, group discussions, presentations, and real-life scenarios to make learning engaging.
Curriculum & Content Development:
- Design comprehensive training materials, including presentations, workbooks, and practice exercises, covering key areas such as interpersonal communication, body language, problem-solving, and time management.
- Develop and update content on aptitude (Quantitative Skills, Data Interpretation) and reasoning (Analytical, Logical, and Verbal Reasoning) to align with current industry requirements and competitive exam formats.
- Create assessments, quizzes, and practical exercises to regularly evaluate participants' progress.
Career Readiness & Placement Support:
- Train participants to develop effective resume-writing skills, interview preparation, and job-seeking strategies.
- Conduct mock interviews and group discussions to simulate real interview scenarios, providing feedback and guidance to participants on improving their performance.
- Help learners improve their confidence in verbal and non-verbal communication, enabling them to excel in workplace environments and professional interactions.
Participant Evaluation & Feedback:
- Monitor and assess participant performance through regular evaluations, quizzes, and feedback sessions.
- Provide one-on-one coaching and support to participants who require additional help in improving their skills.
- Maintain detailed records of participant performance and prepare reports for program evaluation.
Collaboration & Reporting:
- Collaborate with the program team to ensure training is aligned with job placement goals and skill development objectives.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders, such as employers and industry professionals, to offer practical insights and career opportunities for participants.
- Prepare and submit training reports, including participant attendance, performance, and program effectiveness.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communication, Education, Psychology, or related field.
- Certifications in Soft Skills, Aptitude, or Reasoning are an added advantage.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a trainer in Communication, Soft Skills, or Aptitude & Reasoning.
- Experience in conducting training for competitive exams, job placements, or skill development in NGO or corporate settings.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in Aptitude (Numerical Ability, Data Interpretation) and Reasoning (Logical, Analytical, Verbal Reasoning).
- Strong command of Verbal and Written Communication skills, including public speaking, presentation skills, and business communication.
- Proficiency in using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for content creation and reporting.

- Effective Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Engagement & Facilitation: Ability to engage learners through interactive teaching techniques, fostering an open learning environment.
- Soft Skills Development: Expertise in coaching soft skills like leadership, teamwork, negotiation, time management, and emotional intelligence.
- Aptitude & Reasoning: Ability to train participants in solving aptitude and reasoning problems for competitive exams and placement tests.
- Assessment & Feedback: Strong ability to evaluate participant performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Mentorship & Guidance: Experience in providing career advice, professional development coaching, and confidence-building exercises.
Additional Requirements:
- Passion for education, youth empowerment, and making a positive impact in the lives of underprivileged communities.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with beneficiaries and foster a positive learning atmosphere.
- Willingness to travel if needed for field visits or workshops in various locations.
- Fluency in local languages is preferred to effectively communicate with diverse participants.
