About ICAR- National Bureau of Soil Survey and Land Use Planning

Government of India established All India Soil Survey Organization in 1956 with the Headquarters at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute Nagpur with five Regional Soil Correlation Centers at Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata, Jorhat and Udaipur. Later in 1958, this scheme was integrated with the Land Use Planning Scheme of the Central Soil Conservation Board primarily to carry out detailed soil surveys in the catchment areas of major River Valley projects, with setting-up the organization, “All India Soil and Land Use Survey”.

Qualification, Experience and Nature of Job

• Essential: Postgraduate/graduate in Computer Science and engineering, Computer Applications/ Geoinformatics/ Remote Sensing & GIS/Soil Science/Agricultural Physics/ Data Science & Computing /Artificial Intelligence/ Geology/ Geography

Desirable:

• One year of working experience in Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics and Remote Sensing
• Working knowledge in spatial database handling, management and analysis in GIS.

Age Limit

• Between 21 to 45 years with relaxation as per the rule 

Emoluments

• Rs. 42,000/- Per month (fixed)
