Position Overview:

The Associate, Communications (Graphics Designer) will play a crucial role in supporting the branding, marketing, and digital communication efforts of Room to Read, India. This individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining various communication materials, ensuring consistency in visual identity, and enhancing the organization’s storytelling through creative design.

The Associate will work closely with the Communications team and external vendors to execute high-quality materials for print and digital platforms. This role requires strong creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Branding & Visual Identity:

• Develop and maintain brand guidelines to ensure visual consistency.
• Design logos, icons, and other branding elements as needed.

Marketing & Communication Materials:

• Create engaging designs for brochures, flyers, reports, presentations, and newsletters.
• Develop promotional materials for print and digital media, including social media graphics, posters, and banners.

Digital & Social Media Design:

• Design visually appealing creatives for social media campaigns, website banners, and email newsletters.
• Create engaging infographics and motion graphics to enhance digital storytelling.

Event & Campaign Collateral

• Design marketing materials for events, webinars, and conferences, including invitations, standees, backdrops, and signage.
• Support campaign initiatives with visually compelling assets.

Illustration & Custom Artwork:

• Develop custom illustrations and creative visual storytelling elements.
• Design layouts for reports, whitepapers, and publications.

Collaboration & Coordination:

• Work closely with the Communications team to align designs with strategic objectives.
• Liaise with external vendors for printing and production, ensuring quality and adherence to brand standards.

File Management & Delivery:

• Maintain an organized archive of design assets, templates, and final files.
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality design outputs for various platforms and formats.

Preferred:

• At least 2 years of work experience in the field of graphic design.
• Prior experience of having designed Newsletters, Annual reports, brochures, training modules, banners, posters, digital media creatives etc.
• Proficiency in software such as InDesign, Photoshop, Corel Draw and Illustrator.
• Proficiency in 2D and Vector animation.
• Experience with creating other branding materials.
• Good communication skills in Hindi and English.
