About the Organization

WASSAN (Watershed Support Services and Activities Network), Hyderabad since 1999. WASSAN is a network-based organisation focusing on improving the quality of mainstream programs in natural resources management and livelihoods. It engages actively in policy advocacy initiatives at state and national level mainly related to rainfed agriculture. It also provides field level support services to a large number of watershed development and other programs implemented by the civil society in partnership with communities. Currently, WASSAN has around 300 employees spread in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha and Jharkhand.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analytical and structured for preparing the budget sheets and business plan.
  • Advanced quantitative analysis for detailed project report preparation
  • Problem-solving – able to take a creative and hypothesis-driven approach to solving complex problems. Flexible, curious, and creative, open to new things, and able to propose innovative ideas, Independent and autonomous judgment.
  • Willingness to travel and to work remotely on client sites as per the requirements.
  • Book keeping and ensuring accurate accounting on a day-to-day basis.
  • Month-end closing & Finalization of Monthly books of accounts.
  • Preparing monthly reporting pack
  • Drafting SOP and policies for the financial & accounts department
  • Business Analytics.

Job Responsibilities

  • Enhance IPPF’s visibility across critical social media platforms.
  • Build a focused global social media footprint.
  • Create engaging digital content and support the IPPF rebrand.
  • Collaborate across time zones and balance shifting priorities.
  • Support crisis communications as needed.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

  • More than 4-5 year of work experience in tier 1 & 2 consulting firms, NGOs/ Government organizations
  • Extensive experience in the financial sector consulting space wherein he/she will be handling large procurements, documentation, GST, Tally, Advance Excel, Financial Statement Preparation, Internal Audits, Consolidation of accounts of Group companies, and the idea of Annual General and Special Audits.
  • Intern CA, CFA Level – 1, or B.com/M.com. An MBA in finance is desirable but not essential.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Should be competent in use of computers/laptops and has adequate knowledge in internet etc.
  • Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, with an ability to work in a multi-cultural environment. Excellent written and oral skills in English, Hindi and Odia
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Shares knowledge across the organization and builds a culture of knowledge sharing and learning.
  • Demonstrates/safeguards ethics and integrity
  • Candidate with a good understanding of accounting.
  • Strong presentation skills & Financial modeling skills
  • Have knowledge of Tally 9.0 and other accounting software
