India Water Foundation, established in 2008 as a non-profit civil society & think tank, is engaged in enhancing public awareness about Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and major components of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change, in Asia-Pacific region in general and India in particular. It also emphasizes on familiarizing the people regarding the vital role water, energy and environment play in human lives, their impact on health, economic growth, livelihoods of the people and calamities that wreak havoc due to non-judicious harnessing of these natural resources. Job Description
Candidate with a deep focus on funding organizations and understanding the evolving tech-policy ecosystem, managing press relations and social media handling. The role is hands-on, and will manage proactive and reactive communications, from strategy to messaging to execution.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist the Head of Organization in implementing development plans, manage print and electronic media and social media handling
- Keep track of all funding opportunities from the government, private and bilateral and multilateral agencies
- Develop, maintain, and utilize a donor base
- Consult with and update the Head on the follow ups for different funders.
- Initiate contact and liaise with corporate CSRs, embassies, and other potential donors
- Identifying sources of funding, preparation of relevant material about the institution for proposals
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- PG or professional degree in communications preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill
- Minimum 5 years professional experience, of writing and editorial experience
- Proficient in MS Office and various social media applications, strategies and best industry packages
- Graphic design experience which is creative, innovative and detail oriented
