About the Organization
Sanjhi Sikhiya is a collective movement dedicated to transforming Punjab into a land of hope, courage, and possibilities. Since 2018, our team has been working to bring about systemic change in Punjab's public education system. We partner closely with the government at both state and district levels, and our efforts reach over 500 schools and 40,000 students, focusing on improving teaching-learning practices and increasing community ownership.
Driving our district-level initiatives are the fellows of the Punjab Youth Leaders Program (PYLP), a 2-year full-time leadership development program for young people. PYLP enables youth to contribute to Punjab's development while honing their own leadership skills.
Job Description

The Founder’s intern is a young, dynamic individual seeking exposure to a wide range of projects. You'll work directly with the Founder(s) and senior leadership team of Sanjhi Sikhiya on high-priority organizational projects. Former interns have transitioned to impactful full-time roles. This opportunity is ideal for those aspiring to build their own organization in the future.
Job Responsibilities
- Supporting the founder(s) in executing the organization’s vision and strategic initiatives by conducting research and drafting documents.
- Streamlining processes and introducing new systems to enhance the experience of team members and external stakeholders.
- Building and maintaining relationships with partners, donors, and other key stakeholders.
- Contributing to the ideation and execution of new initiatives by collaborating with cross- functional teams.
- Being adaptable and ready to take on new tasks and responsibilities as needed to support the evolving needs of the founder's initiatives.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Graduate of a bachelor's or master's program in relevant fields such as international
- development, social sciences, public policy, or related disciplines. Applications from current university students are welcome.
- Previous leadership experience and comfort with end-to-end project ownership.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to synthesize information and generate insights.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite, and familiarity with online research tools and platforms.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Comfort with handling big data to inform decision-making.
Salary
Up to ₹15,000 per month (depending on educational qualifications and work experience).
