About National Health Systems Resource Centre

National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC) has been set up under the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) of Government of India to serve as an apex body for technical assistance. Established in 2006, the National Health Systems Resource Centre's mandate is to assist in policy and strategy development in the provision and mobilization of technical assistance to the states and in capacity building for the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) at the centre and in the states. The goal of this institution is to improve health outcomes by facilitating governance reform, health systems innovations and improved information sharing among all stake holders at the national, state, district and sub-district levels through specific capacity development and convergence models.

Roles & Responsibilities

Database Design & Development

• Design and implement scalable database schemas for transactional and analytical applications.
• Create collections, tables, indexes, views, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
• Design efficient data models for both structured and semi-structured datasets.

Database Administration

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain MongoDB, MariaDB, and cloud-based database environments.
• Monitor database health, storage utilisation, and overall performance.
• Perform database patching and version upgrades.

Performance Optimization

• Analyse slow queries and optimise database performance.
• Design indexing strategies and optimise execution plans.
• Monitor database workloads and improve response times.
• Conduct database capacity planning and performance tuning.

Data Migration & Integration

• Integrate databases with APIs and enterprise applications.
• Support data warehousing and analytics initiatives using Amazon Athena.

Security & Compliance

• Implement database security controls, encryption, authentication, and authorization.
• Ensure compliance with Government security guidelines, DPDP Act, and applicable cybersecurity standards.
• Conduct periodic database audits and vulnerability remediation.

Analytics & Reporting

• Develop optimized datasets for dashboards and reporting.
• Write complex SQL queries and aggregation pipelines.
• Support analytical workloads using Amazon Athena and cloud data lakes.
• Assist BI teams in data extraction and reporting.

Documentation

• Prepare database architecture documents.
• Maintain database dictionaries and schema documentation.
• Develop SOPs for backup, restoration, migration, and maintenance.
• Prepare technical documentation for deployments and upgrades.

Collaboration

• Work closely with application developers, DevOps engineers, cloud architects, and business analysts.
• Support UAT, production deployment, and issue resolution.
• Participate in code reviews and database design reviews

Qualification & Experience

Essential Qualification 

• B.E./B.Tech./MCA/M.E./MTech. from a recognized university or institution.

Experience 

• Required Experience: 6+ years or more.

Desirable

• Experience working on Government IT Projects at the National level
• MongoDB Certified Developer
• AWS Certified Database
• MariaDB/MySQL Database Skills

Age Limit

• Up to 50 Years (as on the date of receiving the application) As per H..R Policy

Remuneration Range

• Between Rs. 1,00,000/- to Rs. 1,25,000/- per month (As per Policy)
