Job Overview –
District Program Coordinator (DPC) will manage all operational aspects of the program implementation in the assigned district & will be the Single Point of Contact for managing all the Program Operations in the respective District. The DPC, on its own or with the support from the team, will manage the assigned work. The DPC will directly work with district level government functionaries for program activities in the district and ensure that the program outcomes are met. This position will be based at district headquarters.
Key responsibilities –
- Represent the organization in meetings and workshops organized by Government and other stakeholders.
- Manage stakeholder relationships by leading outcome-oriented conversations with District and Block Officials.
- Ensure high engagement of the district and block level Government stakeholders in the program by sharing monthly progress reports and planning their visits to the field.
- zAttend and facilitate program review meetings conducted by Government & other stakeholders to share the progress, discuss the issues / challenges and seek their support for resolution of the issues.
- Provide program updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress of implementation
- Provide support to the HO team in the development of various programmatic material and videos under the project.
- Support team in planning and implementation of program interventions at taluka level.
- Coordination and daily updates of the program progress to the Head Office.
- Collecting & updating field data in software daily.
- Develop a detailed annual work plan covering all components of the program and ensure program implementation is in line with approved timelines and budgets.
- Plan and manage all workshops & training for Government & other stakeholders (MRPs/CRCs/DRGs) and HO team.
- Conduct periodic visits to project locations.
- Monitor daily, weekly, monthly data based on the M&E needs and track project outcomes as per
- prescribed monitoring processes and indicators.
- Monthly/Quarterly/Annual reporting of the program activities with the HO team.
- Support and facilitate state/ district program review meetings with Government stakeholders by sharing program data
- Good relation building with Volunteers and sharing the regular updates to them.
- DPC Should be ready & flexible to shoulder the responsibility given by organization from time to time.
- Adhere to policies and Guiding principles and values of organizations.
- Any other tasks/responsibilities assigned for the project by the manager or the management as per the program requirement.
Qualifications and Experience-
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work or education.
- Minimum 4 to 8 years of experience in a program implementation & management in social sector
- Experience of working with Govt. departments and officials.
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, short turnaround times, and changing goal posts.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi/Marathi language is needed.
- Ability to prepare and interpret workplans, schedules, and step-by-step action plans
- Strong familiarity with project management methodologies and best practices
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel, Word and Power point), Google Apps
- Good people management and negotiation skills
- Excellent team spirit and a positive attitude.
- Readiness to travel regularly in the district and sometimes to the HO.
- Monitoring ability, data collection ability and documentation & report writing skills.
