Through this, we seek to enhance experiences of citizens in accessing government health services at the last mile.

Field investigator, will carrying out assessment at the community level and at facility to understand the effectiveness and quality of Reproductive Health Services in rural Odisha.  The field investigators will be responsible for implementing the data collection in her/his assigned district/blocks. He will ensure complete adherence to data collection protocol, and collect quality of data form the field. They will work in close coordination with the State RMLE team (PD/ SPL/PL/Sr Analyst) and accountable for the overall success of the RMLE data collection. Based on the need they will also collect data in other than the assigned districts.

This role will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Ensure strict adherence to the data collection protocol.
  • Optimize data collection efficiency by developing well-structured operational, travel, and logistics plans.
  • Complete the assigned data collection tasks within the specified timeline.
  • Maintain accuracy and representativeness in sample selection.
  • Uphold data quality by ensuring accurate and reliable data capture while administering all instruments.
  • Assist in conducting pre-testing and cognitive testing of new instruments.

 

Desirable Qualification & Experience

  • Essential:
    • Bachelor's degree or post-graduation in any discipline with minimum 1 years of relevant work experience in public health programs.
  • Preferred:
    • Excellent communication skills in Odia and local dialects; a functional understanding of Hindi and English is also required.
    • Proven experience in conducting large-scale household, family planning, or community-level surveys.
    • Strong understanding of Public Health Program (including ICDS) and exposure to different terminologies used in Maternal and Child Health Programs.
    • He must have his own android phone.
    • Must have two-wheelers with valid driving license.
    • Preferably both male and female candidates

Essential Skills:

  • Communication skills:
    • Able to communicate in all local and regional languages specific to Odisha state (Odia, Sambalpuri, Cuttacki)
  • Travel:
    • The candidate must be willing to travel extensively within assigned districts and across various divisions in Odisha as required by the project.
