Job Description/Responsibilities

Supporting the upstream energy and transport team in India with sector mapping, business development, and early-stage project development, including: 

  • Reviewing financials, tariff orders, and business plans for energy utilities and port & maritime players 
  • Conducting research and providing insights on cutting-edge areas such as AI, IoT, and digitalization for utilities 
  • Assisting in the development of Terms of Reference (ToRs) and customizing pitch decks for transmission and distribution companies"

Supporting the upstream and advisory team in Bangkok with mapping transport and TMT opportunities in East Asia and the Pacific (EAP), including: 

  • Assisting with specific business leads and preparing pitch decks to follow up on opportunities 
  • Conducting market research and sector analysis 
  • Summarizing published materials on relevant topics

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage key workstreams related to project implementation and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensure quality of program/project design incorporating lessons learned, newly developed policies and best practices and establishing appropriate execution and monitoring mechanisms and systems.
  • Support stakeholder management, including government officials, partners, and donors, to align on project objectives and progress.
  • Develop purposive insights, visualizations, tools, templates, and planning aids that support in program management and progress tracking.
  • Keep abreast of new policy developments and secondary research sources such as policy papers, strategy documents, and development frameworks, to prepare briefs and inputs to the theory of change of the programme.
  • Assist in the development of proposals, concept notes, and other project-related documents.
  • Identify challenges and opportunities and develop solutions to address barriers to project success.
  • Maintain a high level of communication with team members and stakeholders, ensuring timely updates and responsiveness.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

  • Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Master’s degree level program 
  • Preferred field of study: Masters in Business Administration (MBA); Finance; Economics; Legal;
  • Minimum of 2 years of previous work experience
