EFRAH is a society started in 1997 for social transformation and came into legal existence in 1999 with a mission “to work for the holistic development of people living in a dehumanized and deprived situation in the society without any discrimination based on caste, creed, and religion”.  EFRAH believes in the basic capacities of people to develop as useful citizens capable of managing their affairs and contributing towards the development of the community with the active participation of people with exhaustive intervention in the field of Education (Facilitating children through learning centers & Vocational Training centers, mainstreaming those children with school, Advocating Right to Education Act implementation and the importance of social & financial education), Livelihood (Self Help Group formation, Micro Finance & placement of students capacitated through vocational training), Health (RMNCH+N) Awareness & HIV/AIDS prevention among female sex workers and migrant labours), WASH (Water Hardware Installation and Sanitation & Hygiene program), Promotion of Community Livelihood, Agro Diversity, Natural Resources, Renewal Energy Bio Diversity (Promoting Organic Farming, Solar Energy,  Solar Power Irrigation, cultivate healthy crops and make better ecosystem, Ponds Rejuvenation and  Rain Water harvesting), and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) (Awareness and increased coping capacity to shocks induced to disaster). At present,we are working Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh.

EFRAH is hiring for multiple positions. 

position - NIOS teacher, Health care Teacher, English teacher 

Location -  Delhi (Madanpur Khadar and Shaheen Bagh) 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Teaching & Curriculum Delivery:

   • Conduct classes for secondary and senior secondary students as per NIOS syllabus.
   • Develop lesson plans and teaching materials tailored to students' needs.
   • Use interactive and student-centered teaching methods to enhance learning.

2. Student Support & Guidance:

   • Provide academic counseling and motivation to students, especially dropout girls.
   • Offer extra classes and remedial sessions for weaker students.
   • Help students understand examination patterns and prepare accordingly.

3. Assessment & Progress Tracking:

   • Regularly assess student performance through tests, assignments, and mock exams.
   • Maintain records of student progress and provide feedback for improvement.

4. Coordination & Community Engagement:

   • Work closely with EFRAH staff to track student attendance and participation.
   • Engage with parents/guardians to ensure continuous learning support at home.
   • Coordinate with NIOS authorities regarding student registration and exams.

5. Capacity Building & Training:

   • Participate in teacher training and professional development programs.
   • Stay updated on NIOS guidelines, syllabus changes, and best teaching practices.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Master’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an open schooling system or with NIOS students.
• Skills:
• • Strong subject knowledge in key subjects (Mathematics, Science, English, Social Studies, etc.).
  • Ability to teach in a simple and interactive manner.
  • Proficiency in Hindi and English (additional languages are a plus).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of NIOS processes, registration, and examination procedure. 

Salary: Based on qualifications and experience.
