ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE OF INDIA (EDII) INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR THE PROJECT COORDINATOR (HANDLOOM PRODUCT DESIGN):

1.  Project Coordinator – Handloom Product Design (Subject Matter Expert) (1)

Location: Bhuj – Kutch, Gujarat

Qualification & Experience:

• Diploma/ B. Tech in Handloom & Textile Technology or any other Professional with 04 years’ experience in the field of working in handloom clusters.
• The candidate should possess good documentation and reporting skills, high degree of computer literacy including design software, data analysis ability and good communication skills with fluency in English, Hindi, Gujarati.
• The candidate must have a thorough understanding of traditional handicrafts, handlooms, their design, aesthetics, and production processes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with Project Coordinator, Master Trainer and Community Mobilizers for implementation of the Project
• Identify and enroll local NGOs [follow EDII norms] with whom community outreach & mobilization and, all workshops and training programmes can be carried out
• Build network of all stakeholders in the Project
• Undertake day to day management of the project, including smooth project implementation, efficient use of resources
• Ensure the timelines and quality of the outputs as well as timely preparation of reports on achievements and challenges faced within the project
• Deliver entrepreneurship training MSDP (Micro SkillPreneurship Development Program) by following the Training Schedule with quality standard as per EDII norms.
• Responsible for the technical inputs for the beneficiaries through trainings, workshops, seminars and visits.
• The person in this role will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and oversight for a variety of design processes. They will work closely with artisans, design consultants, and colleagues throughout the entire process, from creating the design brief to monitoring the process and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Conduct market linkages, business development and enterprise development activities
• Ensure that at least two new design collection per year and six new prints per year are released or at least one new product line for MSDP beneficiaries.
• Productivity improvement trainings for weavers including exposure visits
• Training in Marketability & Value-Added Products 
• Training on enterprise development on Common Facility Centres, Government Approvals, Regulatory Requirements, Producer Companies, etc
• Ensure increased productivity per year, increase in gender inclusion in each Cluster
• Developing contact with big retailers
• Creating standardizing systems and processes customized to each stakeholder group (NGOs, artisans, traders, manufacturers and weavers) to ensure sustainability
• Participate in all meetings held for review of the progress by EDII HO/SRO
• Any other work/activity as assigned by the Project Director or Central Project Team

Type of Employment: On Contract

Remuneration: Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 62,000 CTC p.m.
