Job Overview:

Samvedna Development Society is seeking an experienced State Technical Manager (STM) – Value Chain (Dairy) to lead and implement dairy-based livelihood initiatives under MP-SRLM. This role focuses on dairy value chain development, milk procurement systems, dairy technology, and veterinary healthcare, ensuring sustainable livelihoods for rural dairy farmers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dairy Value Chain Strengthening: Develop and implement market-driven dairy business models, ensuring enhanced productivity and profitability.
• Veterinary Health & Dairy Livestock Management: Oversee disease prevention, breeding programs, nutrition management, and veterinary diagnostics for dairy animals.
• Milk Procurement & Quality Assurance: Facilitate efficient milk collection, chilling, and processing systems to improve supply chain efficiency.
• Capacity Building & Training: Conduct trainings for farmers, para-veterinarians, and dairy cooperative members on best practices in dairy farming and veterinary care.
• Market Linkages & Enterprise Promotion: Strengthen partnerships with dairy federations, financial institutions, and government agencies to ensure fair pricing and value addition.
• Policy & Program Implementation: Ensure alignment with state and national dairy policies, FSSAI guidelines, and rural development frameworks.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 7-15 years of experience in veterinary practice, dairy value chain management, animal health care, dairy technology, or dairy procurement.
• In-depth knowledge of milk production systems, supply chain logistics, and dairy enterprise development.
• Strong understanding of cooperative dairy models, financial linkages, and government support programs.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement, and data-driven decision-making skills.
