Job Overview:

Samvedna Development Society is hiring a State Technical Manager (STM) – Value Chain (Poultry/Goatry) to lead and implement livestock-based livelihood interventions under MH-SRLM. The role focuses on animal health care, veterinary diagnostics, and market-driven value chain development, ensuring sustainable income growth for rural communities engaged in poultry and goat farming.

Key Responsibilities:

• Livestock Value Chain Development: Strengthen poultry and goat-based enterprises by implementing scientific animal husbandry practices and market-driven strategies.
• Animal Health & Veterinary Services: Oversee disease management, vaccination programs, and preventive health measures for sustainable livestock production.
• Capacity Building & Training: Conduct trainings for field veterinarians, community animal health workers, and farmers on best practices in animal health care.
• Market Linkages & Enterprise Promotion: Facilitate access to quality inputs, financial services, and market linkages for rural livestock entrepreneurs.
• Policy & Program Implementation: Ensure project alignment with government guidelines, animal welfare standards, and SRLM mandates.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 7-15 years of experience in veterinary practice, animal health care, livestock value chains, or veterinary diagnostics.
• Expertise in poultry and goat farming, disease control, and rural enterprise development.
• Strong understanding of livestock market dynamics, financial models, and rural livelihoods.
• Excellent training, stakeholder management, and program execution skills.
