Job Description
PIC is looking for a high-ownership Project Management Intern to support the Growth Hub team in executing day-to-day project operations, including consultation planning, tracking deliverables, maintaining stakeholder systems, supporting documentation, and ensuring smooth coordination across internal and external stakeholders.
This role is ideal for someone who is process-driven, enjoys working in complex, multistakeholder environments, and wants exposure to economic development/public policy project execution.
Job Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Operations
- Support scheduling and coordination of stakeholder meetings and consultations
- Assist with confirmations, logistics, note-taking, and follow-up communication
- Help track action items, timelines, and next steps across project workstreams
Project Tracking & Reporting
- Maintain basic trackers for meetings, deliverables, pending inputs, and milestones
- Support preparation of weekly updates and internal progress reports
- Flag upcoming deadlines and dependencies to the project team
Documentation & Knowledge Management
- Organise project folders, minutes of meetings, presentations, and templates
- Support version control and structured file management
- Help maintain stakeholder contact lists and consultation records
Research & Content Support
- Conduct desk research on Pune’s urban development, economy, infrastructure, and sustainability themes
- Support synthesis of findings into presentation slides, short notes, and reports
- Assist in preparing decks for stakeholder consultations and internal reviews
Team Support
- Support internal coordination between PIC, partner organisations, and external stakeholders
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
Qualification
- Postgraduate Degree in Economics/Public Policy/Urban Development/Social Sciences
- Good understanding of public administration ecosystems, policy research, and project management.
- Good understanding of Pune District’s socio-economic landscape
Desired Skills & Competencies
- Previous internship experience in a similar role with strong organisational and project coordination skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication (emails, brief notes, structured updates, phone calls)
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple moving parts
- Comfort with MS Office
- Ability to work in ambiguity and demonstrate high ownership
- Interest in public policy, economic development, governance, consulting or city planning
