Sr. Content Creator

Job Description - 

We are in search of a seasoned Content Creator with a background in the social sector to enrich our vibrant team. This individual will be instrumental in crafting and disseminating content that resonates with our core values and elevates our programme initiatives. The role requires a candidate with a robust blend of creativity, meticulous attention to detail, and exceptional storytelling prowess. 

Key Responsibilities: 

● Develop content strategies that support and extend marketing initiatives, both short-term and long-term, determining which methods work for the brand and why.

● Lead the content creation process from ideation to production, including writing and editing articles, campaigns, press releases, authored articles, leadership communication and narratives, as well as creating multimedia content such as videos and infographics.

● Collaborate with the programme team to craft campaign content that engages audiences and leads to measurable action. 

● Manage the distribution of content across all platforms, including social media, websites, and email campaigns. 

● Analyze content marketing metrics and make changes as needed to enhance content effectiveness from Magic Bus’s brand positioning POV. 

● Stay updated on industry trends and adjust the content strategy as needed.

● Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience. 

Requirements - 

● Proven experience in content creation within the social sector, with a portfolio that showcases written and visual content. 

● A minimum of 6-7 years in content creation, journalism, or communication, particularly within non-profits or social enterprises. 

● Demonstrable ability to convey complex social issues through engaging storytelling. Specialisation in life skills education would be a plus. 

● A strategic thinker with an analytical mind, capable of turning insights into actionable content strategies. 

● Excellent writing and editing skills in English, with a sharp eye for proofreading and detail. 

● A solid understanding of SEO principles and content marketing would be a plus.

Qualifications: 

● Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or related field.

● Minimum of 6-7 years experience in a content creation role, preferably within the non-profit sector. 

● Exceptional writing, research, and communication skills. 

● Proficiency in multimedia content development, including video editing and graphic design. 

● Experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress) and social media platforms. 

● Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. 

● Empathy towards social causes and a keen interest in making a difference through impactful storytelling.
