About the Organization
Gujarat Urban Development Mission (GUDM) is the State Level Nodal Agency (SLNA) for State of Gujarat is incorporated as registered “Society” Under the society Act & Bombay Public Trust Act-1950.
GUDM was established after successful implementation of “Urban Year 2005” to further continue and pursue the efforts of Urban Development.
Job Responsibilities
- Identify skill gaps among municipal staff and determine areas requiring enhancement.
- Design comprehensive annual training programs tailored to specific needs of ULBs, ensuring alignment with national and state vision
- Organize interactive sessions to disseminate best practices, innovative solutions, and policy guidelines.
- Establish mechanisms to assess the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with institutions and other training partners to enhance the reach and quality of capacity-building initiative
- Plan for continuous training/ retraining/ refresher training of UDD officials and employees
- Collect and analyse feedback data points for enhancement in training modules & patterns
- Encourage the adoption of digital tools and platforms to improve service delivery and governance
- Document training sessions, materials developed, and participant feedback
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Master's degree in fields such as Urban Planning, Public Policy, Development Studies, Engineering, Architecture, or Social Sciences or relevant
- Minimum 10 years of experience in designing and delivering training programs, conducting research, and engaging with stakeholders.
- Experience of at least 5 years of working with government bodies, NGOs, or international organizations in urban development context is highly valued.
- Proficiency in developing and delivering training content tailored to diverse audiences.
Other skills
- Ability to conduct primary and secondary research, analyze data, and apply findings to practical scenarios
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, essential for stakeholder engagement and reporting.
- Familiarity with digital tools, e-learning platforms, and software like MS Office
- Excellent report writing skills, ability to develop reports in Gujarati is preferred.
- Desirable age criteria for applying to the post is maximum 62 Years
