HR Manager

Organization: Gujarat Urban Development Mission

About the Organization
Gujarat Urban Development Mission (GUDM) is the State Level Nodal Agency (SLNA) for State of Gujarat is incorporated as registered “Society” Under the society Act & Bombay Public Trust Act-1950.
GUDM was established after successful implementation of “Urban Year 2005” to further continue and pursue the efforts of Urban Development.
Job Responsibilities
- Designing and executing recruitment plans for technical, managerial, and administrative staff through various modes (outsourcing, direct interview, etc.)
- Developing HR policies and guidelines in line with government regulations and GUDM's operational requirements.
- Managing onboarding, induction, and training programs.
- Overseeing employee welfare programs, grievance redressal mechanisms, and internal communication.
- Enhancing performance management systems, including appraisals and feedback mechanisms.
- Supporting organizational development initiatives such as team-building, skills enhancement, and succession planning.
- Maintaining accurate HR records and preparing HR reports for management.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable labor laws, service rules, and state government HR regulations.
- Coordinating with external agencies for specialized recruitment and training services when required.
- Advising management on HR best practices, staff retention strategies, and organizational culture development.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration (HR specialization), Public Administration, or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in HR management, preferably in government, public sector, development agencies, or large private organizations.
- Experience in handling recruitment, policy development, employee engagement, and capacity-building activities.
- Familiarity with Indian labor laws, government HR procedures, and administrative frameworks.
Other skills
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools and HRMS (Human Resource Management Systems).
- Fluency in English and Gujarati
- Desirable age criteria for applying to the post is maximum 62 Years
