Job Description

One Research Associate is required for field data collection and interaction with multiple stakeholders for a consultancy project titled ‘Climate risk-induced Potentiallinked Credit Plan for the NABARD for two principal crops in Jhansi district of Bundelkhand region, Uttar Pradesh’ undertaken by the IIM Lucknow. The Research Associate will collect field data from different blocks/ talukas of the Jhansi district of Uttar Pradesh and conduct in-depth interviews and focus group discussions with farmers/ producer organizations, namely cooperatives and producer companies.

• Conduct surveys, in-depth interviews, and focus group discussions with farmers/ FPOs associated with climate-resilient crop production practices.
• Explore the farmers’ perception of climate risks and adaptation/ mitigation measures to combating the impact of climate change on crop production and their livelihood promotion.
• Data collection, cleaning, entry, and analysis in SPSS/MS Excel.
• TA/DA will be paid extra for field visits per the institution's policy.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Preference will be given to a candidate with experience in field surveys and interviews of farmers or members of FPOs and community-based organizations based out of Uttar Pradesh.
