Pratham Education Foundation (Pratham) is one of the largest education NGOs in India with a record of innovative, rigorously evaluated programs that have inspired similar programs across three continents. With a history spanning 30 years, Pratham’s work today extends from programs for early and elementary years to girls and women, and youth skilling. Through programs covering 25 states and Union Territories, in an average year, Pratham usually reaches over 6 million children and youth. This is achieved through a combination of efforts: directly working with children and youth in communities, as well as through collaborations with state and district-level governments.

Job Description

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Associate Graphic Designer to join our Communications team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing visually engaging and impactful content for both print and digital platforms, ensuring alignment with Pratham’s brand identity and communication objectives. Reports to Lead – Design, Communications and would work closely with various program and State teams to help build effective visual communication.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities Understand Pratham’s programs and goals to create designs that match our strategy and connect with our audiences.

• Design creative assets for both print and digital media, including brochures, reports, social media posts, presentations, infographics, and more.
• Translate complex concepts into clear, visually compelling stories.
• Collaborate across functions to ensure cohesive messaging and design output.
• Ensure consistency and alignment with branding and design guidelines across all communications materials.
• Prepare final artwork for print and coordinate with vendors as required.
• Stay updated with current design trends, tools, and techniques.
• Contribute ideas and feedback during brainstorming and review sessions.
• Participate in campaign planning and content performance reviews.
• Manage website design and timely updation of pages.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); knowledge of Canva is a plus.
• Strong understanding of typography, layout, and color theory.
• Knowledge of user-centered design and visual communication principles.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, creative mindset.
• Strong work ethic and a collaborative attitude.
• Respect diversity and work collaboratively with individuals
• Good communication skills.

Preferred (Good to Have)

• Illustration skills
• Experience working in the education or social impact sector
• Awareness of social media visual trends, meme culture, and storytelling formats
• Willingness to learn about and engage with the organization’s programs and fieldwork to create more informed and meaningful design.
• Knowledge on AI tools.
